When your work and personal life collide.

When you run a small business or side hustle, the line between work life and personal like becomes blurred.

I was going to express my astonishment and disbelief for the fact it's ‘already halfway through the year’! But who am I kidding. Every year we're all just as shocked as the last that the year goes by so quick. 🤣

Although the shock-factor at the speed of time never seems to change, what is changing, is my understanding that each new year presents it's own new set of opportunities, wins and challenges.

I thought ‘20 & ‘21 were a tough trot, but boy does 2023 seem to be a throwing its weight around. This year I've learnt that life will demand different things from you at different stages, and you'll be pushed to make choices about where to exert your energy.

For me, the last 6 months has been a lot about family. You see, my dad was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's. And lemme tell ya, it's been a whole new road map to try navigate.

I share all this not for sympathy, but to let you know that however your year is shaping up and where you've been forced to focus — know that it's ok.

When you run a small business or side hustle (like you do), there's a very big cross over between personal and work life.

How’s your 2023 been so far? And how do you handle the work/life balance?
